Teaching Innovation in a Changing World, Cases from Wallonia–Norway

As part of the Oslo Innovation Week, the University of Oslo (Norway) will host the event "Teaching Innovation in a Changing World: Cases from Wallonia–Norway" on October 20, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. This event will bring together stakeholders from higher education, innovation, and entrepreneurship to reflect collectively on the evolution of pedagogical practices. Through expert presentations and case studies from Wallonia and Norway, the morning session will explore new approaches to developing students' entrepreneurial skills, strengthening university-business collaborations, and better preparing learners for the societal and professional challenges of tomorrow.

9:10 AM – 9:40 AM | Opening Keynote

• Amélie Jacquemin, Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at UCLouvain, Vice-Dean for International Relations at the Louvain School of Management.
• Jens-Petter Berg, Vice-Rector for Life Sciences and Health, University of Oslo.

9:40 AM – 10:15 AM | Inspiring Case Studies

• Tryphène Ndombasi (UCLouvain): Presentation of the European "Entrepreneurial Change-Making BIP" program, which engages students from various disciplines in addressing societal and sustainability challenges.
• Sebastien Lugan (UCLouvain): Presentation of the Student Lab, an initiative connecting technology companies with students to work on real-world projects.
• Viktoria Nagy (Louvain Learning Lab): Institutional conditions fostering pedagogical innovation.
• Thomas Hoholm (BI Norwegian Business School): Creation of the Oslo School of Entrepreneurship, a collaborative project involving higher education institutions in Oslo.
• Portal Space (University of Oslo): presentation of a student initiative dedicated to space innovation and engineering.

10:30 AM – 11:00 AM | Interactive roundtables

Participants will have the opportunity to delve into various case studies during thematic discussions and interact directly with the speakers.

11:00AM – 11:00AM Closing & Networking Invitation

The space will be available until 12:00 to continue the discussions of lessons learned, ideas, and meeting each other.

Participation

The event is free and open to all, but advance registration is required. It will take place in person at the University of Oslo and will not be streamed online.
